I offer free, one-on-one mentoring to students from underrepresented backgrounds—especially women from South Asia, including India and Pakistan—who are interested in applying to philosophy graduate programs in the United States.

This is an act of service and community support, not a paid consulting service. I want to make the kind of guidance that can be difficult to access without established academic networks more available to students who are navigating the U.S. philosophy graduate application process for the first time.

I can help with writing samples, statements of purpose, identifying and researching programs, understanding application expectations, and thinking through how to present your philosophical interests and academic background. I am also happy to answer questions about the application process and share what I have learned from navigating it myself.

I can offer mentoring in English, Urdu, Sindhi, and Hindi, so students can communicate in whichever language they feel most comfortable using.

My hope is to make the process a little less opaque and intimidating, and to support students who might otherwise have to navigate it without much guidance. If you are considering applying to philosophy graduate programs in the U.S. and would benefit from having someone to talk through the process with, I would be happy to help.
